How I Retired at Age 29

I started a company at age 17.

I started a company called “MJ’s Be YOU LLC” at age 17, which later turned into a business consulting firm called Direct Consultants, LLC.

I joined the military.

I worked with public figures on different projects.

I modeled internationally.

I used my skill of writing to start a temporary magazine.

This is me after a state meeting discussing how people who are overlooked should be given the opportunity to suggest and execute new ideas for the city. I later wrote about my experience in my magazine called MJ’s Be YOU magazine.

I had multiple streams of income.

I’ve been paid to be drawn for museums and art shows both nationally and internationally.

An artist in Japan paid me to draw my face for her art collection, which was featured in a museum in Japan.

I have been nominated and won several awards.

This is me winning the Armed Forces Appreciation Award from ACHI Magazine in 2017.

I helped other people.

This is me volunteering at Speak Up Magazine. I volunteered at the magazine for three years.

I hosted a temporary TV show that gave local businesses and talent the opportunity to showcase their lives behind the scenes.

This is me filming the introduction for MJ’s Be YOU TV.

I hosted events for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

I did radio, podcast, and TV interviews.

I took huge risks.
